ABOUT KATE JACKSON…

Kate Jackson (a.k.a. Kate Trelatsky) trained primarily in the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara areas. She has taught watercolor, alcohol inks and fluid acrylic painting to adults and children through the Merced Multicultural Arts Center, Merced Community College, and the Madera Arts Council. She has juried shows for ACA Fresno and Merced City Schools. She has been an International Workshop instructor, most recently in Lynmouth, UK watercolor retreat.

Kate has earned awards in numerous California exhibits, and has shown in such prestigious shows as the “Yosemite Renaissance VIII,” the “CCAA Annual Spring Show” in Modesto, the “Celebrate Agriculture with the Arts” competition in Madera, the California State Fair Best of County exhibit, several invitational and juried shows at the Carnegie Arts Center in Turlock, and various one-woman shows throughout the state including Santa Barbara and Crescent City. She is a former long-standing member artist of the Arbor Gallery in Merced, a member artist of Madera’s Circle Gallery, Modesto Mistlin Gallery, Carnegie Arts Council, and formerly a charter member of the Los Padres Watercolor Society. Currently Kate is an active member of CHAA (Contemporary Humanitarian Artists Association) of Merced.
